China Kite

Last year when Shannon and I went to China we had a dream. We wanted to fly a kite in China. Turns out that 1) finding a kite is China is not all that easy and 2) finding a place to fly the kite is even harder. We did end up finding a kite but never found a place to fly it. So, home to America the kite came. She has sat in the corner of my room since last August. I have had aspirations of flying her but some how it never happened.... until last Sunday. It was perfect weather. Shawn and I grabbed the China Kite (it was officially named thus) and headed to a local elementary school. China Kite lived up to every dream I had for her. She took right off and never came down until I pulled her in. We were in awe of her. She was perfect! She flew with all glory that she could. Let me tell you, China Kite shined. But, as most things from China, her life was short lived. She flew her one and only flight, oh but what a flight it was. Thanks China Kite! You lived up to every expectation I had for you, well besides of being flown in China, but you can't help that. You my dear, were perfection.

One funny little added side note. While we were there some of our friends from the ward came over. While I was off flying China Kite, I heard the guys talking. "She has been in the ward for about two years." "She was dating Jed but I don't know if she is anymore." I yelled across the field, "If you are talking about me, I am not dating Jed." Hilarious. Shawn was standing in the circle and just taking it all in. Needless to say, we are pretty secretive. It is fun.

Lucky Dip

He did it and I could not be more happy. He even wore white underwear, which was a miracle in and of itself. I was so excited that I felt like I was the one taking the plunge. He made the best decision that will change him for the eternities. We both can't stop smiling. HE DID IT!

What if...

I moved here
?!?!?! Cause it is a possibility.
Would you visit?
This is the man

that is prompting all the thought.
Life happens all sorts of ways you would never expect.
It is exciting and scary at the same time.
