China Kite
Last year when Shannon and I went to China we had a dream. We wanted to fly a kite in China. Turns out that 1) finding a kite is China is not all that easy and 2) finding a place to fly the kite is even harder. We did end up finding a kite but never found a place to fly it. So, home to America the kite came. She has sat in the corner of my room since last August. I have had aspirations of flying her but some how it never happened.... until last Sunday. It was perfect weather. Shawn and I grabbed the China Kite (it was officially named thus) and headed to a local elementary school. China Kite lived up to every dream I had for her. She took right off and never came down until I pulled her in. We were in awe of her. She was perfect! She flew with all glory that she could. Let me tell you, China Kite shined. But, as most things from China, her life was short lived. She flew her one and only flight, oh but what a flight it was. Thanks China Kite! You lived up to every expectation I had for you, well besides of being flown in China, but you can't help that. You my dear, were perfection.

One funny little added side note. While we were there some of our friends from the ward came over. While I was off flying China Kite, I heard the guys talking. "She has been in the ward for about two years." "She was dating Jed but I don't know if she is anymore." I yelled across the field, "If you are talking about me, I am not dating Jed." Hilarious. Shawn was standing in the circle and just taking it all in. Needless to say, we are pretty secretive. It is fun.
Lucky Dip
He did it and I could not be more happy. He even wore white underwear, which was a miracle in and of itself. I was so excited that I felt like I was the one taking the plunge. He made the best decision that will change him for the eternities. We both can't stop smiling. HE DID IT!

Thoughts!
I am beginning to see that I am a list person. It is just how my mind organizes thoughts. AND speaking of thoughts, I have a couple to share.
PLEASE have your own opinions. I don't care that we think differently, actually I kind of like it that way.
Sorry to the new nurse that doesn't like that I will voice my opinion and stand up for whatI believe to be right. I really didn't mean to offend you.
I love my brother Brandun. He makes me laugh at myself. Who doesn't enjoy that?
Busy is good. Busy is really good. Busy!
I can't stop thinking of the game "white horse my side". Why did we even start this?
I know this guy that is an oceanographer. Kind of crazy.
Elmar is coming over in May. It has been awhile since I have seen my long lost European friend.
Does anyone want to fold my laundry for me? MOM?
I have eaten all to much oatmeal in the last two weeks. Instant = Fast = Good
I feel like we are on the verge of solving my headaches. BUT... I feel that with knowingwhat is causing them will make me aware of another health problem.
Bedtime lately is 9:30 and wake up time is 5:30.
I still have a problem with saying "no". Maybe I will make that my goal next year. To say"no". No, actually probably not.
Denver in April with the family. We will be watching baseball. It will be like the good olddays of family road trips. Neil Diamond anyone?

PREDICTIONS!
Once upon a time in the beautiful land of Logan and Heber, my friends used to make predictions. We would guess on what the future would hold for each of us.
Here is one example .....

We have lists and lists and papers and papers of what we thought the future would bring. You may be asking "were any of them right?" Well, some were and some weren't. We were doing it to just have fun and think of what might be ahead.
I have been crazy busy lately. Going to school full time, working full time at one job and PRN at another has left me little time to think of such things, like the future. However, I woke up this morning and didn't have to get out of bed so I laid there and thought. I thought of what the future might hold for me. Thus, I made my own predictions.
I predict that ....
- I have A LOT of school ahead of me.
- I predict that I will become a NP.
- I predict that I will not spend the rest of my life in Utah. Not enough NP jobs in Utah and I have always been one to get out.
- I predict that I will always love my life and be able to see the good.
- I predict that I will buy a house a some future point that will be brick and have dark wood floors. It will be an old house.
- I predict that I will always have a stick shift car.
- I predict that I will be a traveling nurse. Who knows when?
- I predict that I will go to Israel and Egypt next summer or maybe actually England for the Olympics.
- I predict that I will always be friends with my friends that are still my friends.
- I predict that I will continue to strengthen my testimony.
- I predict that I will go on 3 more missions.
- I predict that I have a GREAT life ahead of me.

Anyone else SCARED?
Ice and other things!
Meet Shawn! He is my cool new friend that has crazy interesting perspectives on life. This last weekend we ventured up to Midway to see the ICE CASTLES. Was is it all it is cracked up to be? Maybe not. However, we still had fun.
Pretty much he is the most non-judgemental guy I know. He makes me laugh. Just because I know he will never read this. So after we went to eat we went and stopped by my parents house for five minutes. The next day all my family had to say to me was, "Cassie how does it feel to date someone shorter than you?" To get the set the record right... We aren't dating AND we are the same height!
